As the chorus begins its 22nd season, we are reminded of those who laid the groundwork for Perfect Harmony. Pictured here are founding Artistic Director, Clay Jones (seated), and founding member John Scardina, around the time that PHMC began.

We are grateful for those who came before us and paved the road we travel on. We sing for them, and we sing to help “create, enrich, and transform the community” for the next generation.

🏳️‍🌈 Happy Pride, Madison! 🏳️‍🌈

We had so much fun this weekend! Common Chords performed at Woof’s King Street Pride block party, and chorus members marched in the OutReach Pride Parade with our brand new t-shirts and parade banner.

What a great way to kick off our 22nd season of creating, enriching, and transforming the community through music!

Perfect Harmony Men's Chorus shared a memory.

Two years ago we were in Denver for GALA Choruses Festival 2016. This incredible wall of singers was part of the opening ceremonies that welcomed the 7,000+ LGBTQ attendees to the week-long choral music festival.

We are already planning for our return to Festival in 2020, this time in Minneapolis! Even though MN will be much closer travel-wise, it will cost more to stay downtown than in Denver. If you would like to help kickoff our Festival fundraising efforts, please mark your donation for “GALA Festival 2020.” As always, we appreciate your generous support.

As Pride Month comes to a close, we must remember to take the lessons learned and keep them in our hearts throughout the year.

Here are some thoughts. Please feel free to add your own:

Remember those who came before us. Learn from their struggles and celebrate their victories, because they are our struggles and victories.

Be yourself. You are valid and loved and we need you.

Find your safe space and fight for it. And be a safe space for others.

Kindness and love have the power to change the world.

“Create, Enrich, and Transform the community.” 🌈❤️🎵

We’d like to take a moment and publicly thank a very generous, longtime donor, William J. Wartmann, who passed away on Sunday.

These beautiful new sapphire blue shirts were donated by Bill to the chorus. He heard that the choir only had long-sleeve shirts or tuxes as choral uniforms and knew that we needed something to wear in warmer weather. We wore these for the first time on Saturday during our free concert at Alicia Ashman Library, just 24 hours before Bill peacefully passed.

The front is simply our logo. On the reverse is a graphic representation of the chorus’ mission: Perfect Harmony Men’s Chorus creates, enriches, and transforms community through music. We sing to make a better world!

Thanks to Bill and to his family for this generous donation, which means the world to us.

Thank you to so many wonderful friends of the chorus who came to our “Take A Stand” performances this weekend. Your love and support means the world to us and gives us the energy to continue on our mission.

We are proud that we continue to build community among local LGBTQ+ groups, this time with Proud Theater and StageQ, Inc. Both organizations contributed by lending their voices to the show and it made the messages of hope, unity, and strength resonate even more.

We have received so many heartfelt compliments about this show, it’s messages, the theme, the collaborations, and the narrative. Thank you for being such an active and engaged audience - the best kind there is! We do this for you, to raise you up so that you can help us with our mission of transforming the community.

If any of your friends missed the concert but still want to hear some of it, please tell them join us at Alicia Ashman Library (733 N High Point Rd) on Saturday June 16, 10:30am for a free concert selections from this show. And we’d love to see some of you there too!
