Congrats to the 540 LGBTQ+ singers from across the country who came together last night for a mass choral performance of “Quiet No More” at Carnegie Hall! What an incredible opportunity and fitting way to mark the 50th Anniversary of Stonewall.

Perfect Harmony Men’s Chorus is honored to have been among the co-commissioning choruses that brought this piece to life.

JUNE 28, 1969: STONEWALL

“It was the day. It was the day everything changed. It was the day we stood up for ourselves. It was the day we said enough is enough. It was the day that we pushed back.”

Perfect Harmony Men's Chorus is with Jason Hoke and 11 others.

Last week we held our annual Donor Dinner for those in our Koshkonong, Mendota, and Capital levels of our Circle of Friends, as well as honored guests. We are so grateful to these donors who support the mission of the chorus to create, enrich, and transform community through music.

We are especially grateful to D’VINO’s Dino Maniaci and Jason Hoke and their fine staff for putting together an incredible 9 course meal and a beautiful, intimate setting on King Street. Thank you!

Forty-nine amazing humans were murdered while celebrating at a nightclub.

In their memory, do something — today, this week, this month. Be more kind. Make an effort to use somebody’s pronouns. Stand up for somebody who is being harassed. Volunteer for an organization that is helping those less fortunate.

Speak out and be heard.

Our concert this weekend is not only about Stonewall, but also about Love - because what, after all, were the Stonewall’s patrons willing to risk their lives for if not love? Love of self, love of others, love of life.

In our first set of the concert we will sing songs of love, including a setting of e.e. cummings’ “i carry your heart with me.” Enjoy this video that one of our chorus members shared, which talks about the timelessness of this beautiful poem. When you hear us sing it this weekend, it will have greater meaning for you ❤️

Tickets for for our Friday and Sunday concerts are available from chorus members, at the door, and online at www.PerfectHarmonyChorus.org.

Come and celebrate “LOVE and STONEWALL” with us!
