"That Sixties Show!"
A Musical Review

May 29th: Madison-First United Methodist Church: 203 Wisconsin Ave.
May 30th: Milwaukee-Plymouth UCC: 2717 E. Hampshire St.

Performing together again for a third concert season, Perfect Harmony and City of Festivals will take you on a musical journey back to the 1960s. Change was in the air. This decade was, in many ways, the best of times and the worst of times; a counterculture of positivity and creativity existed alongside feelings of social unrest and realities of war. From out of this push-and-pull also came some of the best music of our time, and the combined choruses will perform selections well-known and well-loved by many. Arranged exclusively for our singers and these performances, the concert includes light-hearted celebration anthems, music from the "British Invasion", also including Motown and musicals, as well as songs of protest and social awakening. Expect our show to get your feet tapping and your body swaying.

In many ways, the joys and sorrows of the Sixties are still very much with us; social justice movements for civil rights and gay rights were forming and making progress, and their work continues today. Of course, resilience and strength persevere, and Perfect Harmony and City of Festivals echo these sentiments in their mission: "We sing to make a better world." Join us as we remember, reflect, have fun and get groovy to the tunes of the 1960s. And, in faithfulness to the decade, there will be a few surprises!

"That Sixties Show!" will be performed at the First United Methodist Church in downtown Madison, Wisconsin on Friday, May 29th, 7:30 pm, as well as in Milwaukee at Plymouth Church on Saturday, May 30th, 7:30 pm. Admission to the concerts is $20 and can be purchased online at,, or purchased at the door.
